Growth of Frozen Berry Exports to the Netherlands

Dutch traders are showing increased interest in importing Ukrainian frozen berries. Direct supplies to supermarkets in this country remain challenging without the involvement of intermediaries, so local traders are focusing on organic products and striving to expand supply volumes for retail chains. The growing demand for Ukrainian frozen berries is attributed to the implementation of modern technologies that enhance product quality. Strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries are particularly valued, and an increase in demand for frozen bilberries is expected soon. Traders prefer long-term cooperation with Ukrainian producers over one-time contracts.

It is noted that establishing direct supplies to Dutch supermarket chains without the help of traders is difficult. Meanwhile, traders are working with organic berries and are set on increasing supplies for retail.

A New Direction for Ukrainian Agribusiness: Fertilizers from MHP

The MHP agroholding, the largest poultry producer in Ukraine, has begun sales of liquid complex fertilizers MAG Fertilizers by MHP. Previously, this new product was used exclusively in the company’s own production cycle. The development of the fertilizers took over four years, and production is concentrated in the Khmelnytskyi and Cherkasy regions. The company hopes that entering the market with its own fertilizers will contribute to the development of partners and strengthen the positions of the Ukrainian agricultural sector in both domestic and foreign markets.
