Development of the local brand and business synergy
The development strategy for “Khmelpiva” involves strengthening its position in the Khmelnytskyi region market, launching its own network of stores, and actively promoting the brand. Oliinyk emphasizes that the decision to purchase the brewery was driven by the synergy between the glass business and brewing, which will allow for more effective development of both sectors.
“We bought 78% of the shares. The buyer was the “Kostopil Glass Factory,”” he said.
Opillia invests in new production capacities
At the same time, one of the leading brewing companies in western Ukraine – Opillia – has begun a large-scale expansion of its production capabilities. By 2027, the company plans to increase its capacity by 40%. The total investment in infrastructure development is already approaching 200 million hryvnias. An important part of the strategy is the launch of a second plant in Ternopil region, which will specialize in non-alcoholic beverages.
Since 2012, the enterprises of the Opillia group have received over 1 billion hryvnias in investments. Today, the company is capable of producing 6.5–7 million liters of products each month and is considering the possibility of expanding exports to European Union countries.
