The private operator of railway freight transportation, “Lemtrans,” invested 160 million UAH in 2025 for the implementation of infrastructure and logistics projects. The majority of the funds – 157 million UAH – were directed towards the development of terminal and container business.

New Logistics Projects and Support for the Wagon Fleet
In the second half of last year, the company launched a new partnership project – “Fastiv Container Terminal,” which enhances the efficiency of freight transportation and expands logistics capabilities. In addition, “Lemtrans” continued to implement its investment program aimed at supporting its own wagon fleet and modernizing wagon repair facilities.
Financial Results and Freight Volumes
By the end of 2025, the Lemtrans group of companies paid 644 million UAH in taxes and fees to budgets at all levels. The total volume of railway transportation reached over 16.2 million tons of various cargoes.
“The key share of transported cargo was coal – approximately 9.6 million tons. Transportation of iron ore during this period amounted to 5.2 million tons.”
For comparison, in 2024, Lemtrans invested 478 million UAH in logistics and infrastructure projects, and the annual freight volume reached 15.9 million tons, indicating a gradual growth in the company’s activities.
