In 2025, Ukraine reduced its iron ore export volumes by 8% compared to the previous year, totaling 30.99 million tons. At the same time, China, as the leading trading partner, increased its purchase of Ukrainian ore by 8.7%, importing 16.41 million tons of this raw material. Meanwhile, shipments of ore to Slovakia decreased by 11.4%, amounting to 4.4 million tons, while exports to Poland fell by 18.1%, reaching 4.17 million tons. By the end of the year, Ukraine’s revenue from iron ore exports decreased by 16.6%, totaling $2.34 billion.

Growth in Ferroalloy Exports and Features of Dairy Product Imports

In 2025, Ukrainian ferroalloy producers significantly increased their exports: shipments abroad rose by 21.4%, totaling 93,840 tons. Revenue from the sale of these products increased by 19%, reaching $105.44 million. The largest buyers of Ukrainian ferroalloys were Poland (25,970 tons), Algeria (21,280 tons), Turkey (20,400 tons), and Italy (12,020 tons).

Flour Exports and Dairy Product Imports

In the first seven months of the 2025-2026 marketing year, Ukraine exported 37,500 tons of wheat flour, which is 7% less than in the same period last season. The main markets for this product remain Moldova (30% of exports), Palestine (20%), and the Czech Republic (16%).

Poland maintains its leadership among suppliers of dairy products to Ukraine. In 2025, Polish companies earned $138.4 million from dairy product exports to Ukraine, which is 24.4% more than the previous year. Poland’s share in the total dairy product imports is 42%. Significant suppliers of these products to the Ukrainian market also include Germany ($54 million), the Netherlands ($25 million), and Italy ($20.6 million).
