Retail Well-Being Index in Ukraine Increased in October 2025, Number of New Stores Grows

In October 2025, the Retail Well-Being Index (RWBI) in Ukraine rose by 0.2 points compared to September, reaching 27.8 points. In comparison, last October, this index reached a record level of 30.4 points, the highest since the beginning of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation. Despite challenging conditions, the Ukrainian retail market continues to actively recover and expand.

Opening of New Retail Spaces in the Regions

In the city of Mukachevo, located in Transcarpathia, a new shopping complex, Retail Park Mukachevo, has commenced operations. The first phase of the complex has already opened well-known stores such as Sinsay, LC Waikiki, COMFY, and others. The total area of the first phase exceeds 8,600 square meters. The second phase, which is planned to be launched next year, is expected to reach over 15,500 square meters.

In Lutsk, the international supermarket chain SPAR has presented its first supermarket of a new format under the Eurospar brand. Its area is 1,314 square meters, and the store offers customers an expanded range of products.

Expansion of Leading Retailer Networks

The retailer “Silpo” recently opened a new store in Chernihiv and also renovated another retail outlet in the city of Vasylkiv in the Kyiv region. INTERTOP Ukraine launched two new retail locations in Kyiv: a clothing store in the “Karavan Outlet” shopping and entertainment center and a store for the American footwear brand Skechers in the “Pyramid” shopping mall.

Thus, despite all the challenges, the Ukrainian retail sector demonstrates positive development dynamics, increasing retail space and expanding store networks in various regions of the country.
