Sales of Major Ukrainian Retailers Increased by 17% in the First Half of 2025

In the first half of 2025, Ukrainian retail chains showed significant growth in financial results. The total sales of retailers over six months reached ₴936.6 billion, which is 17% more compared to the same period last year, when the amount was ₴800.2 billion.

Results of Leading Market Companies

Among the main players in retail that had the most impact on the development of trade, analysts identified 15 companies. These included representatives from both the food segment and operators of non-food sectors, including clothing, household appliances, building materials, and other goods. The combined turnover of these companies for the first half of 2025 amounted to ₴369.38 billion, accounting for 39% of the total industry sales.

Leaders and Growth Dynamics

Among all retailers, the highest sales were demonstrated by the ATB store chain — ₴117.15 billion, which is 20% more than last year. Its closest competitor, the “Silpo” supermarket chain, also showed a turnover growth of 16%, reaching nearly ₴50.39 billion.

At the same time, the fastest growth rate in sales among food retail chains was shown by “Fora” — up 30%, to ₴20.73 billion. However, the most dynamic retailer was Sinsay, which belongs to the Polish group LPP. Over six months, the company increased its sales by 55% — to over ₴7 billion. During the first three months of this year, Sinsay opened 51 new retail outlets in various regions of Ukraine.
