The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has signed two special investment agreements with the companies “Slavski” and “Rozhanka Park,” as well as with the Slavske Village Council of Lviv Region regarding the implementation of a large-scale project to build the year-round GORO Mountain Resort. The total investment in the project amounts to €140 million, with the start of its implementation planned for autumn 2024.

Creation of New Tourist Infrastructure
As part of the partnership with local authorities, investors plan to develop modern tourist infrastructure in the Carpathians. According to forecasts, over the next 15 years, budgets at various levels will receive about ₴7.3 billion in the form of tax and other revenues from the resort’s activities.
Benefits and Incentives for Investors
The state program supporting projects with significant investments provides a number of advantages for investors if the project cost exceeds €12 million. In particular, this includes the possibility of compensating up to 30% of capital investments. Among the proposed benefits:
- exemption from profit tax for a period of up to 5 years;
- exemption from import duties and import VAT on new equipment;
- compensation for costs related to engineering infrastructure, such as power grids, substations, gas pipelines;
- preferential right to use land for project implementation.

The launch of the GORO Mountain Resort is expected to be an important step in the development of the region, contributing to the growth of the tourist attractiveness of the Carpathians and the economic well-being of Lviv Region.
