According to the Institute of Economic Research and Political Consulting, the index of expected changes in business activity in Ukraine remained at 0.1 in February this year, the same as in January. The share of enterprises planning to expand their activities has increased to 15.4% (compared to 14.4% in the previous month), while the share of those intending to reduce their activities has risen to 5.1% from 4.1%. The majority of enterprises (79.5%) plan to maintain their current level, although this figure has also decreased from 81.5%.

Among enterprises, the most optimistic expectations are held by large microenterprises with an index of 0.23. At the same time, small businesses show a significantly lower index of 0.11. The indices for medium (0.08) and large (0.06) enterprises are somewhat lower and approximately the same.
Regional and Sectoral Features of Expectations
Regionally, the leaders in expectation indices are enterprises from the Cherkasy region (1), as well as those from the Transcarpathian and Ternopil regions, which have indices of 0.67.
In terms of sectoral structure, the highest expectations are demonstrated by printing enterprises with an index of 0.5, as well as the woodworking industry with an index of 0.26. The lowest index is shown by the machine engineering sector, which stands at 0.
