Development Dynamics of the “Karavan” Shopping Mall in Dnipro
Since the beginning of 2025, the “Karavan” shopping mall in Dnipro, managed by the DCH group, has opened new stores with a total area of over 2,700 square meters. In the near future, the launch of several more retail outlets covering over 1,500 square meters is planned. In the first half of 2025, visitor traffic amounted to 3.11 million people, which is 2% higher than the same figure last year. Additionally, the turnover per square meter increased by nearly 40%.
Recovery and Growth of the Nikolsky Shopping Mall in Kharkiv
The Nikolsky shopping mall in Kharkiv, located in a city that faces constant threats due to the war, continues to develop actively. In August 2025, the center was visited by 900,000 people, marking a record high since the missile strike on the complex in March 2022. Although this figure has not yet reached pre-war levels—currently lagging by about 20%—experts note that considering some major retailers, such as Inditex and H&M, have not yet resumed operations, the visitor numbers are effectively at peacetime levels.
Currently, the vacancy rate for retail space in Nikolsky is only 1%. Over the past six months, more than 15 new tenants have opened in the complex, primarily in the shelter area, including well-known brands like Jysk and KFC.
“Visitor numbers at the shopping mall in August 2025 reached 900,000. This figure is the highest since the Russian missile struck Nikolsky in early March 2022.”
Thus, the shopping and entertainment centers in Dnipro and Kharkiv, despite the challenging security situation, remain attractive for businesses and shoppers, continuing to adapt to new challenges.
