Bahamut to Host a Hackathon with a Prize Pool of $10,000 at Paris Blockchain Week 2025

Команда Bahamut оголосила про проведення хакатону в рамках Paris Blockchain Week 2025

The Bahamut project team has announced a hackathon scheduled for April 5-6, 2025, as part of Paris Blockchain Week 2025, which will take place from April 8 to 10. Participants will compete for a prize pool of $10,000.

Hackathon Features

During the hackathon, developers will have the opportunity to work with the Bahamut L1 blockchain, which utilizes the Proof of Stake and Activity (PoSA) consensus mechanism. The press release states that the transition to PoSA will occur on April 8, marking an important milestone in Bahamut’s evolution. The PoSA mechanism was developed by the core Bahamut team to ensure decentralized rewards for network participants.

Bahamut network validators who launch smart contracts will begin accumulating activity based on the usage of their contracts by other users. Increased activity will enhance validators’ chances of proposing new blocks and receiving rewards, depending on their participation in the network.

“The transition to PoSA is an innovative development for Bahamut, empowering validators based on their actual contributions to the network, making the reward system even more decentralized and efficient. This is a significant step forward in blockchain scalability and fairness,” added Bahamut architecture owner Karen Terjanyan.

Benefits of Participating in the Hackathon

Hackathon participants will have the opportunity to take advantage of the following benefits:

  • Development based on Bahamut’s PoSA for creating secure and resilient decentralized applications;
  • Exploration of the Bahamut ecosystem;
  • Utilization of the Caucasus L2 blockchain for fast transactions with low fees;
  • Direct mentorship and access to ecosystem grants for project development;
  • Solving real-world challenges presented during the event.

Bahamut is also offering a prize pool of $10,000 for the best projects created on its platform during the hackathon.

Participants are invited to explore Bahamut’s blockchain solutions at booth #78 during the main part of Paris Blockchain Week, which will take place from April 8 to 10 at the Carrousel du Louvre. The booth will also feature Fastex, showcasing its solutions alongside the Bahamut Foundation.

About Bahamut Foundation

The Bahamut Foundation supports innovation in the blockchain space through the Bahamut Grants program, funding Web3 projects that promote decentralization, innovation, and transparency. Bahamut is an EVM-compatible L1 blockchain operating on the PoSA consensus and rewards validators based on their activity in the network. The network operates with its native token FTN and has undergone security audits by CERTIK and HEXENS. Among the successful grant recipients is Mutuari, a decentralized lending and borrowing platform built on Bahamut, demonstrating the network’s focus on real blockchain applications.
