The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, in collaboration with the European Investment Bank (EIB), conducted another review of the credit portfolio of joint projects. During the discussions, the parties emphasized the preparation for the signing of new projects in April 2025, which will contribute to the restoration of social infrastructure in communities, as well as water supply and sewage systems in cities.

“Ukraine’s cooperation with the EIB covers a wide range of areas that address the government’s key needs in the country’s economic development and the improvement of citizens’ lives. The EIB’s credit portfolio in Ukraine is one of the largest among international financial institutions and consists of 24 active projects with a total value of €4.3 billion,” the ministry emphasized.
Among the projects financed by the EIB:
- two investment projects worth €178 million in the field of ensuring energy efficiency in educational institution buildings and developing vocational education institutions;
- two investment projects worth €400 million regarding the provision of rolling stock for urban public transport in cities;
- three projects worth €640 million in the area of restoring social infrastructure in regions with a high number of internally displaced persons and in areas affected by Russian aggression.
