This indicates a growing sense of greed among investors. Over the past week, the index has increased by 33 points, highlighting a significant shift in the market’s emotional state.
This level is the highest since October 10, 2025, when the market experienced a major crash. Just a month ago, the index was at 11, which indicated extreme fear — one of the lowest readings for the entire year of 2025.
Impact of the Index on Market Expectations and Comparison with Previous Highs
Analysts note that high readings of the Fear and Greed Index often signal the possibility of a market correction, as traders become overly confident in further price increases. At the same time, periods of extreme fear can create favorable investment opportunities.

For comparison, during the establishment of Bitcoin’s historical peak value in October 2025 — when the asset’s price reached around $126,000 — the index was recorded at 71 points. Currently, Bitcoin is trading near the $97,000 mark.
