Ethereum Network Sets New Record for Daily Transactions

Добовий обсяг транзакцій в мережі Ethereum оновив історичний максимум

The Ethereum network has reached a new historical high for daily transactions. On August 5, 2025, the figure hit 1.74 million transactions in a single day, surpassing the previous record set in December 2021. The following day, the transaction volume remained at the same level.

July 2025 also became a record month for the network, with 46.67 million transactions conducted, exceeding the previous high of 45.06 million transactions in May 2021.

Factors Driving Activity

A significant increase in network activity occurred after the gas limit was raised by 25% to 45 million. Experts attribute this growth to heightened institutional activity, particularly interest in stablecoins and the accumulation of ETH by large companies.

“The growing interest in yield strategies, especially ahead of the [Fed] rate cut, has led to an increase in on-chain transactions, from point farming to treasury asset placements,” said Min Jun, an analyst at Presto Research, in a comment to The Block.

Future Development Prospects

At the same time, there is a noticeable outflow of ETH from cryptocurrency exchanges, which is traditionally seen as a positive signal for the asset’s price. The total supply of Ethereum exceeds 120 million coins, according to data from Ultrasound Money.

Analysts believe that the next catalyst for the growth of the ecosystem could be the approval of staking in existing spot Ethereum ETFs. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is currently reviewing several such applications from exchange-traded fund providers.
