Features of the New Platform

FanDuel Predicts will allow users to buy and sell contracts on the outcomes of sporting events such as baseball, basketball, football, and hockey. In addition to sports events, the app will cover financial metrics, including the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, oil, natural gas, gold, cryptocurrencies, as well as economic indicators like GDP and the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

The companies have stated that the platform will be available in states where sports betting has not yet been legalized, except for tribal territories. Once sports betting is officially legalized in a particular state, access to sports contracts on this platform will be discontinued.

User Protection and Trading Conditions

FanDuel will integrate responsible trading and risk management tools into FanDuel Predicts. Users will be able to set deposit limits, enable notifications, and utilize a self-exclusion option. All these features will apply to all FanDuel products.

“FanDuel will expand its user protection program to the FanDuel Predicts app, providing tools for responsible trading, risk management, and expense tracking. The app will also include educational materials on how prediction markets operate and on buying and selling event contracts.”

To use the platform, users will need to undergo the standard KYC procedure by providing basic personal and banking information. Trading will be conducted with contracts priced from $0.01 to $0.99.

It is worth noting that Romania previously blacklisted the Polymarket platform due to unlicensed gambling activities.
