Highlighting Speeches and New Initiatives
The organizers noted that Proof of Talk confirmed its status as a summit where leading figures from traditional finance, the tech sector, and the decentralized community come together to shape the future of global systems. A significant event was the return to the stage after a five-year hiatus of Digital Currency Group founder Barry Silbert. In a conversation with David Lawee from Mosaic Venture Partners and former senior reporter at Forbes, Michael del Castillo, Silbert announced the launch of Yuma Group’s asset management business, focused on high-yield investment strategies in tokens.
This initiative marks Silbert’s entry into the rapidly evolving Bittensor ecosystem. The main goal is to provide institutional investors with easy access to promising teams and projects within the Bittensor subnets, which, according to the organizers, could be a turning point in the development of this ecosystem.
An important part of the conference was the presentation by Bittensor founder Jacob Steeves, who delivered a talk titled “Satanic to Sublime: Aligning Human Potential Through Open-Ownership Protocols,” which attracted a large and interested audience.
Major Announcements and Recognition of Women in Technology
Among other important announcements was the integration of the Somnia blockchain into the Sparkball project and the presentation of the Telegram mini-application EntravelX for hotel bookings. On the second day of the conference, companies peaq and Pulsar Group announced the creation of the world’s first free zone for the machine economy (MEFZ) in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Additionally, MIT professor and Algorand founder Silvio Micali introduced Fiat Chain — a public decentralized ledger without its own cryptocurrency.
“Proof of Talk 2025 has become an important milestone in uniting visionary leaders and innovative projects in the blockchain space. With announcements like the expansion of the Somnia ecosystem and in-depth discussions on finance and tokenization, it has become clear that this industry is moving beyond innovation and becoming a key part of our digital future. We are excited to continue fostering this trend,” said co-founder and CEO of Proof of Talk Zohaïr Dehnadi.
The conference brought together over 700 leading companies in the Web3 sector, including sponsors such as MEXC Ventures, Unit Network, Somnia, CertiK, General Tao, and Tao Ventures.
At the end of the event, the launch of the Top 50 Women in Web3 & AI initiative was announced in partnership with CoinDesk and TON Foundation. This program aims to recognize women leaders who have made significant contributions to the fields of blockchain and artificial intelligence. The winners were honored at a gala dinner, where they were awarded for their achievements, leadership, and efforts to increase the representation of women in technology sectors. Among those recognized were Daniela Amodei, Anima Anandkumar, and Betsabe Botaitis.
The conference also featured a dinner for investors and a pitch session involving over 140 venture funds, including a16z, Pantera Capital, Arrington, Borderless, Animoca Brands, Haun Ventures, as well as major institutional market players: BlackRock, J.P. Morgan, and Goldman Sachs.
The organizers announced the return of Proof of Talk in 2026 with an expanded format and a continued focus on the most influential discussions in Web3 and related fields.
