Spot ETFs Experience Capital Outflow of $795 Million in a Week

The spot Bitcoin ETF sector is experiencing negative dynamics, as investors withdrew capital amounting to $713.3 million over the week. This occurred from April 7 to April 11, 2025, according to data from the analytical platform SoSoValue. This marks the second consecutive week of losses in this market.

Specifically, on April 8, spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded the largest weekly outflow of funds, totaling $326.27 million. Overall, during this period, capital was withdrawn from three major funds, including:

  • IBIT – $342.61 million;
  • GBTC – $160.93 million;
  • FBTC – $74.63 million;
  • BITB – $38.13 million;
  • BTCO – $27.3 million;
  • ARKB – $26.01 million;
  • EZBC – $18.1 million;
  • BTCW – $11.9 million;
  • HODL – $10.75 million;
  • BRRR – $5.32 million.

The value of only one fund, DEFI from Hashdex, remained unchanged, while the capital from the BTC fund by Grayscale recorded a slight inflow of $2.39.

Outflow of Funds from the Ethereum ETF Sector

The spot Ethereum ETF sector also continues to show negative dynamics, experiencing losses for the fifth consecutive week. The total amount of funds withdrawn in this sector for the week was $82.47 million. Specifically, on April 10, investors withdrew nearly $39 million, and the capital outflow from the funds occurred as follows:

  • FETH – $45.04 million;
  • ETHW – $5.65 million;
  • ETHV – $4.44 million.

At the same time, one fund, ETHA, managed to attract $0.98 million, while four funds (ETH, EZET, QETH, and CETH) experienced no financial transactions. In the Hong Kong market, a capital outflow of 151.79 BTC was recorded, while the Ethereum ETF sector attracted 98.67 ETH.

“In March, spot Bitcoin ETFs lost over $1 billion,” experts note.
