Dynamics of Export and Import Between Ukraine and Poland
In 2022, exports from Ukraine to Poland increased by 27%, reaching $6.7 billion. However, in the following years, with the recovery of Ukrainian exports through the Black Sea, export volumes to Poland decreased: in 2023, the decline was 28.6%, and in 2024, it was another 1%. Nevertheless, in 2025, the trend changed again in favor of growth, with Ukrainian exports to Poland increasing by 3% to $3.7 billion.
Imports of Polish goods to Ukraine have shown consistent growth since the start of the war. If in 2021 this figure was $5 billion, by 2024 it had risen by 40% to reach $7 billion. For the current year, the import volume already stands at $5.7 billion.
Advantages for the Polish Economy from Cooperation with Ukraine
Trade with Ukraine provides Poland with a number of tangible advantages. Among the key benefits are the strengthening of regional influence, activation of economic development, and addressing labor shortages through the employment of Ukrainians, as well as the expansion of sales markets and the development of transport and warehousing infrastructure.
