Increase in Value of Huta Czestochowa Due to Production Resumption and Certification

Цена Huta Czestochowa вырастет на 26 млн злотых после новой официальной оценки

Huta Czestochowa, one of the largest metallurgical companies in Poland, will undergo an official asset revaluation. According to information, the new estimated value will be 253.8 million zlotys, which is 26 million zlotys higher than last year’s previous estimate. This indicates positive changes in the company’s operations and its assets.

Reasons for the Increase in Value and Resumption of Operations

The increase in value is attributed to the launch of production in the steelmaking shop and the hot rolling mill, which are currently operated by Węglokoks. Additionally, the company has updated its international quality certificates, enhancing its competitiveness in the global market. The official asset appraiser reported that during the open bidding in 2025, the value of the assets of Liberty Częstochowa started at nearly 227 million zlotys.

Several companies, including Węglokoks and the Indian company Dazul, are involved in the asset sale process. However, the bidding was canceled by the relevant administrator due to legislative requirements, as the plant is classified as a strategic defense facility. To complete the sale, approval from the Ministry of Defense is required, which has expressed a desire to purchase the entire metallurgical complex or its parts.

“After the asset valuation is approved, there are seven days for appeals from Liberty Częstochowa, its creditors, or the Ministry of Defense, which has the right of first refusal.”

In the absence of appeals, the sale process will be completed, and the plant will transfer to the buyer’s ownership. It is worth noting that on February 3, 2025, Huta Czestochowa reached an important milestone in its recovery by launching production in the thick plate rolling mill. This is the final step before the company reaches its designed capacity after more than a year of downtime.
