Planning for Post-War Reconstruction
The city, in collaboration with international partners, including UNDP and Denmark, is actively working on forming a strategic plan for post-war reconstruction. Among the first initiatives prepared jointly with partners are two infrastructure projects: the “Industrial Park” and the educational space “Water Palace.” Currently, the city is attracting investors for their implementation through the state platform DREAM.
Support for Entrepreneurship and Partnership with the EU
All joint projects of Mykolaiv with the European Union are aimed at supporting the transition of small and medium-sized enterprises to operate according to the principles of the blue economy. Seven local businesses have already become winners of the BOOST Innovation Challenge, each receiving $10,000 to implement their own initiatives in this direction.
“After the end of hostilities, the country will need new strategies. Therefore, we are already developing strategic plans for the economic development of our city, based on the principles of the blue economy. Mykolaiv can become a leader in this direction,” said Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych.
