In the first half of 2025, large and medium enterprises in Ukraine recorded a positive financial result before taxation, amounting to 428.8 billion hryvnias. In the same period last year, this figure reached 491.2 billion hryvnias, indicating a significant decline.

Dynamics of Profits and Losses of Enterprises
Compared to January-June 2024, the total profit of enterprises decreased by 10.3%, totaling 555.7 billion hryvnias. At the same time, the amount of losses decreased by 1.2% to 126.9 billion hryvnias. The share of loss-making enterprises remained at last year’s level, accounting for 25.7%.
Large and medium enterprises in Ukraine achieved a positive financial result before taxation of ₴428.8 billion for January-June this year. In the same period last year, this figure was also positive, amounting to ₴491.2 billion.
Sectors with Profit Growth
Notable growth in financial results is observed in the agricultural sector. In the first six months of 2025, the profit before taxation in agriculture, forestry, and fishing reached nearly 4.2 billion hryvnias, which is 71.6% higher than the figure for the same period last year. Meanwhile, the share of loss-making enterprises in the sector decreased from 53.1% to 32.4%.
Positive dynamics were also recorded in industry: profits increased by 7% to 203.7 billion hryvnias. In wholesale and retail trade, profits rose by 21.2%, reaching 87.2 billion hryvnias. In the hotel and restaurant business, this figure increased by 41.6%, reaching 1.6 billion hryvnias, while in the information and telecommunications sector, it grew by 11.8% to 21.7 billion hryvnias.
