Bioenergy and Clean Energy: New Opportunities for Partnership
The diplomat paid special attention to the prospects of cooperation in the bioenergy sector. Brazil is one of the leading global producers of clean energy from alternative sources, and its biofuel sector is actively developing and attracting investments worldwide. The ambassador emphasized that many companies specializing in bioenergy are already operating in Brazil, and bioenergy plants are distinguished by their cost-effectiveness, speed of construction, and ability to provide clean energy production. According to him, Ukraine also has significant bioresources, which opens up wide opportunities for joint projects in this field.
“The war has certainly negatively affected trade. However, bilateral trade remains – mainly in the agribusiness and machine engineering sectors. We see great prospects for further development of economic ties, particularly in biofuel production projects. Brazil is one of the largest producers of clean energy from alternative sources. Many companies in our biofuel sector invest worldwide. Bioenergy plants are inexpensive and can be built quickly, generating clean energy, and Ukraine, like Brazil, has all the necessary bioresources.”
Pharmaceuticals, Agribusiness, and Construction: Additional Areas of Cooperation
The ambassador also reported on plans to restore pharmaceutical cooperation between the countries. This involves combining the efforts of powerful companies from Ukraine and Brazil to produce affordable medicines. He emphasized the importance of activating cooperation in the agribusiness sector and reminded that Ukraine became a co-founder of the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty — an initiative launched by Brazil during its G20 presidency.
Furthermore, the diplomat noted good prospects for joint work in the civil construction sector, which could become another driver for deepening economic ties between Ukraine and Brazil.
