Development Strategy in Poland and Romania

In Poland, Coal Energy is focusing on the Bobrek-Mechów deposit, where it will implement a multi-stage licensing procedure for coal extraction. Regarding Romania, the company plans to participate in a tender process to obtain a concession for the extraction or exploration of anthracite coal. Anthracite is one of the highest quality types of coal due to its high carbon content, making it a strategically important resource for the country’s energy sector.

Plans for Ukraine and Additional Services

Despite losing control over a significant portion of its assets due to the Russian occupation, Coal Energy is considering the possibility of resuming mining operations in Ukraine in collaboration with local partners. In addition to its core activities, the company plans to expand consulting services for third parties in the field of mineral resource extraction, leveraging its own experience and expertise.

Since 2011, Coal Energy’s shares have been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Before the onset of Russian aggression, its primary focus was coal extraction in the Donetsk region.

As noted, the coal extraction project in Poland is centered on the Bobrek-Mechów deposit, and the licensing procedure will be carried out in several stages.
