The Metinvest group increased its steel production by 4% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, reaching a volume of 488,000 tons. Pig iron production during this period rose by 8%. This indicates that, despite the challenges of wartime and the shutdown of the Pokrovsk coal group, the company continues to develop its capacities.

However, it is worth noting that coal concentrate production decreased by 52%, as starting from 2025, the company extracts coal exclusively at the United Coal Company in the USA. Ore extraction also fell by 21%. In contrast, the total volume of rolled products increased by 41%, reaching 597,000 tons.
Additionally, Metinvest paid ₴20 billion in taxes to the budget in 2024, which is 36% more than in 2023. Since the beginning of the war on February 24, 2022, Metinvest, including joint ventures, has invested more than ₴30 billion in capital projects in Ukraine, which is the second highest figure in the country.
