Features of the Future Logistics Hub
According to the documentation presented, the construction will cover 142,148 square meters, equivalent to 14 hectares. The planned capacity of the terminal will be 10,000 twenty-foot containers per year, significantly improving the transport and logistics infrastructure of the western region of Ukraine.
Strategic Location and Competition
The future “dry port” will be located approximately 25 km from the international checkpoint “Yahodin” at the border with Poland and just 10 km from the terminal that the company “Interkoleso” began constructing in 2023. The construction of this facility is currently on hold after the Antimonopoly Committee identified violations during the acquisition of the land for the port’s construction.
“Weststar Group” is part of the Ternopil group of companies “Western Container Terminal,” which provides logistics services.
