Polish Operator Grupa Azoty Koltar Receives Permit for Rail Transport Between Ukraine and Poland

The Polish railway operator Grupa Azoty Koltar has signed a contract with “Ukrzaliznytsia,” granting the company the right to carry out transport through the main border crossings of Yahodyn – Dorohusk and Medyka – Mostyska. The new agreement will create conditions for speeding up train processing and ensuring stable rail connections between Ukraine and Poland.

Expansion of International Cooperation of Ukrzaliznytsia

The signing of the contract is part of Grupa Azoty Koltar’s development strategy for 2026–2030, aimed at expanding international transport operations. As part of this strategy, the company plans to strengthen its presence in the field of cross-border rail transport, which meets the current needs of the European logistics market.

Ukrzaliznytsia is actively developing direct cooperation with foreign railway operators. To date, similar agreements have already been made with carriers from Hungary, Slovakia, Moldova, and Romania. In total, the Ukrainian railway services nearly 40 border railway crossings, contributing to the deepening of Ukraine’s integration into the European logistics infrastructure.
