The strategic importance of the deposit for the construction industry

The obtained special permit allows ‘Avtostrada’ to carry out a range of works at the Rivska site for 20 years – from conducting geological surveys to the industrial extraction of limestone and clay. The company already has significant experience in implementing large-scale infrastructure projects, including the construction of new metro stations in Kyiv, the Podilsky bridge crossing, and the water supply system to Mykolaiv.

High resource potential and prospects for use

The deposits of the Rivska site are characterized by significant reserves of mineral resources. The balance reserves of limestone amount to 10.7 million tons, while the off-balance reserves are 11.25 million tons. Additionally, the site contains 2.338 million tons of balance reserves of clay. According to the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine, these resources create a strong raw material base for cement production, ensuring the company the possibility of long-term operation of the deposit.

‘Avtostrada’ is one of the largest companies in Ukraine for road and infrastructure construction. It is building new metro stations in Kyiv, the Podilsky bridge crossing, and a water supply system to Mykolaiv. The license will grant the company the right to a full cycle of work at the Rivska site – from geological surveys to the industrial extraction of limestone and clay.
