According to information, the successful execution of the project will create a
“roadmap”
for investments under the agreement. The lack of companies with experience in launching large-scale mining operations in Ukraine opens new opportunities for Black Iron in the context of post-war reconstruction.
As reported by the company, the project has already achieved significant success in engineering planning and obtaining the necessary permits. The project is located in a strategic center of Ukraine, in the city of Kryvyi Rih, and has financial support from the global mining company Anglo American.
The implementation of the Shymanivske iron ore project is expected to attract investments totaling $1.2 billion throughout the entire implementation period and contribute $2.2 billion to the Ukrainian economy. The project will create thousands of new jobs, introduce innovative technologies, restore industrial infrastructure, and demonstrate to the global community that Ukraine is open for business.
