The Ukrainian Arms Council and the French Association of Land and Air-Land Defense Industries (GICAT) have signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation, marking a new stage in the relations between the defense industries of both countries.

Creating a Platform for Business Collaboration
GICAT brings together 480 French companies operating in the defense sector. Through this new partnership, the parties plan to exchange market analytics and organize joint initiatives, including trade missions, forums, and exhibitions. Special attention will be given to launching joint research and development (R&D) projects, entering international markets, as well as discussing regulatory barriers and conditions for cooperation in production.
Strengthening Cooperation Between Companies of Both Countries
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot emphasized that French companies are interested in joint weapon production with Ukrainian partners. He also noted that last month, leading French enterprises announced the start of collaboration with drone manufacturers from Ukraine. Last week, according to the minister, 80 companies from the French defense and technology sectors visited Ukraine and held over 200 meetings with potential partners.
