Change in the Structure of the Elevator Equipment Market
According to the company’s data, in 2016, the share of Ukrainian equipment in the market was only 20%, while imported equipment accounted for 80%. However, by 2025, the situation has drastically changed – there is now a complete dominance of domestically produced equipment in key segments of the industry.
“Farmers have tried domestically produced equipment and have found that it is not only on par with imports in terms of quality, but also has a number of significant additional advantages. In particular, these include service availability, design tailored to climatic conditions, knowledge of the local context, and the ability of the manufacturer to operate under wartime conditions on equal footing with the client,” explained KMZ Industries.
Impact of State Support and Results
A significant role in the changes in the market has been played by the state program, which provides for a partial compensation of 25% of the cost of equipment manufactured in Ukraine. Thanks to this initiative, farmers have had the opportunity to test and evaluate the quality of domestic solutions. In 2024, the share of Ukrainian transport equipment for elevators in the market reached 48.8% in monetary terms, while domestically produced metal silos for grain storage occupied 81.4% of the segment.
KMZ Industries remains a leader among Ukrainian manufacturers of elevator equipment. The company has already implemented over 5,000 projects across the country, providing farmers with modern technologies for effective grain storage and transportation.
