Azerbaijan Becomes Leader in Importing Ukrainian Beef, Egypt Tops Wheat Purchases

From January to October 2025, Ukraine exported 15,330 tons of frozen beef, which is 4% more than in the same period last year. Revenue from exports increased by 8%, totaling 64 million US dollars.

Azerbaijan Surpasses China in Importing Ukrainian Beef

Azerbaijan has become the leader among importers of Ukrainian beef, purchasing 33% of the total export volume. China came in second with 28%, followed by Uzbekistan (16%), Kazakhstan (8%), and Moldova (6%). Interestingly, during the first nine months of 2025, China remained the largest buyer of this product; however, in October, the leadership shifted to Azerbaijan.

Additionally, in the ten months of 2025, Ukraine exported 14,940 tons of live cattle, which is 16% more than in the same period last year. Revenue from this segment increased by 42%, amounting to 34.61 million US dollars. The main importing countries for live cattle were Lebanon (84% of total exports), Kazakhstan (9%), and Libya (6.4%).

Egypt Actively Increases Purchases of Ukrainian Wheat

At the same time, Egypt significantly increased its purchases of Ukrainian wheat in 2025, becoming the main buyer of this crop. In September, the share of Ukrainian grain in Egypt’s imports reached 48%. Overall, the share of Ukrainian wheat in Egypt’s import structure has doubled, reaching 30%, gradually displacing Russian products from the market.

In particular, in September, the share of grain from Ukraine in Egypt’s imports rose to 48%.
