The document formalizes Switzerland’s intention to significantly enhance support in the competition for projects aimed at Ukraine’s recovery. Swiss companies with experience in Ukraine are participating in this competition and are ready to assist in its reconstruction. An additional CHF 50 million will be allocated to projects in the areas of civilian protection, infrastructure restoration, community development, and modernization of public services. These allocated funds are part of a larger program totaling CHF 1.5 billion, covering the period from 2025 to 2028.

Investments from the European Investment Bank and Norway

Switzerland also plans to invest CHF 5 billion in a 12-year support program for reconstruction. At the same time, the countries have signed a memorandum of cooperation in community development, which includes the restoration of regions affected by the war.

Additionally, the European Investment Bank is providing Ukraine with €300 million for the restoration of energy and critical infrastructure.

Norwegian businesses are also planning to participate in Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction, particularly through joint investment projects. Priority areas include the development of ports and maritime infrastructure, as well as the restoration of housing, roads, railways, and industrial zones.
