MHP, an international company specializing in food and agrotechnologies, with its headquarters in Kyiv and production facilities in Ukraine and the Balkans, has announced the launch of commercial production of liquefied biomethane (Bio-LNG). The first batch of this product has already been successfully delivered to the European Union.

The production of biomethane at MHP is based solely on agricultural waste, making the product environmentally friendly. Biomethane is certified under the ISCC EU standard, confirming its compliance with sustainability criteria.

MHP has been investing in bioenergy infrastructure for over 10 years and manages one of the largest portfolios of biogas projects in Europe. With the launch of Bio-LNG production, this portfolio has become even more powerful.
It is worth noting that in February 2025, MHP became the second company in Ukraine to export biomethane to the EU via pipeline. The agribusiness holding is a leader in poultry production in Europe and ranks among the top ten largest producers of this product globally.
