Investments and Collaboration with International Partners

According to the signed document, IFC, along with Japan, will provide NovaSklo with expert advisory and analytical assistance. Approximately 250 million euros are earmarked for the construction of the plant. The project is scheduled for completion by 2028, and the facility will employ over 300 specialists.

In the process of establishing production, NovaSklo collaborates with leading players in the global industry — Nippon Sheet Glass Group and HORN Glass Industries, which will enable the implementation of advanced technological solutions and ensure a high level of product quality.

The Significance of the Project for the Ukrainian Industry

Float glass is a primary material for manufacturing windows, facade systems, mirrors, automotive glass, and solar panels. Currently, Ukraine is forced to import hundreds of thousands of tons of float glass each year, which creates risks for supply stability and increases costs for the implementation of national reconstruction projects.

The enterprise is expected to meet the country’s demand for such construction materials and reduce dependence on imports.

The opening of the new plant in the Kyiv region will allow for the localization of production of these materials, support the implementation of state reconstruction programs, and contribute to the development of the domestic industry.
