The production of new Blackwell chips has already begun at NVIDIA’s partner TSMC’s facilities in Phoenix, Arizona. Simultaneously, construction of manufacturing facilities for assembling supercomputers is starting in Texas, with production in Houston in collaboration with Foxconn, and in Dallas with Wistron. Mass production is expected to commence within the next 12-15 months.
Investments in AI Infrastructure
NVIDIA plans to invest up to $500 billion in the development of artificial intelligence in the USA over the next four years. This initiative will create “AI factories,” which will be new types of data centers designed exclusively for processing AI-related workloads. According to the company, such production could create hundreds of thousands of new jobs and strengthen the country’s economic security.
Technological Sovereignty of the USA
Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, noted that the establishment of such facilities in the USA will help strengthen the country’s technological sovereignty, enhance supply chains, and ensure sustainable growth. The total area of manufacturing facilities in Arizona exceeds 1 million square feet, allowing for the entire production cycle: from chip manufacturing to finished supercomputers.
“Establishing such facilities in the USA strengthens the country’s technological sovereignty, enhances supply chains, and ensures sustainable growth,” said Jensen Huang.
It is worth noting that earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump lifted restrictions on the export of H20 chips to China following a meeting with the CEO of NVIDIA.
