The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has announced the launch of new grant programs aimed at developing the defense industry. According to Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, next week the defense cluster Brave1 will unveil a series of large-scale financial initiatives for enterprises operating in the armaments sector.

Grants for Explosive and Drone Manufacturers
The first area of support concerns large grants for companies engaged in the production of explosives. To implement innovative approaches in the manufacturing of explosives, the state is ready to allocate over 100 million hryvnias for the creation of so-called “turnkey factories.”
“The first is large grants for explosive manufacturers. We will provide more than ₴100 million for conditional “turnkey factories” that are being built in an innovative way for the production of explosives,” he announced.
The second area of funding involves grant support for drone manufacturers with enhanced autonomy, significantly boosting the technical capabilities of the Ukrainian army on the battlefield.
Missile Programs and Strategic Priorities
The third program encompasses grant funding for the development and production of cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as short-range missiles that can be used for air defense. It is noted that around twenty projects have already received support under the missile program.
Minister Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that the necessary funds for launching these programs are included in the amendments to the state budget, ensuring the financial stability of the initiatives.
Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal pointed out the global shortage of explosives and military chemicals, which opens up opportunities for Ukraine to take leading positions in this field. According to him, the state prioritizes the development of long-range weapons with laser guidance and technologies utilizing artificial intelligence. Additionally, Ukraine may allow the export of those types of weapons that the Armed Forces are fully equipped with.
