Progress of the Investigation and Defense’s Position

French media reports that Durov once again categorically denied all accusations against him. Pavel Durov’s lawyers filed a lawsuit challenging the legality of the actions taken by the French authorities, emphasizing that the case may violate their client’s constitutional rights. Additionally, according to the defense, they were given the opportunity to provide “additional explanations” which they believe prove the unfounded nature of the accusations.

It is worth noting that in August 2024, Durov was detained in France, and at the end of June 2025, the court somewhat relaxed the supervision regime, allowing him to temporarily visit Dubai.

Results of the Interrogation and Government Reaction

The interrogation was conducted behind closed doors, and after leaving the court, Durov did not answer journalists’ questions. Representatives of the French prosecution emphasized that the investigation is still ongoing and there is currently no new information to disclose.

“The investigation is ongoing, and at this stage, there is no new information that can be provided.”

Meanwhile, the French authorities noted Telegram’s willingness to cooperate within the framework of the investigation. The date of Pavel Durov’s next interrogation remains unknown for now.
