According to the data, 12% of respondents do not even know what artificial intelligence is. Only 26% have practical experience using AI. Among them, 9% use it occasionally, while 17% turn to the technology at least once a week: 5% several times, and 12% nearly every day.
Age and Regional Differences in AI Usage
Among young people aged 18-29, more than half (54%) use artificial intelligence on a regular basis. In older age groups, this share is significantly lower: 21% among people aged 30-44 and only 4% among those over 60. There is also a significant difference between urban and rural residents: urban dwellers have three times more experience interacting with AI — 21% compared to 9% in rural areas. In megacities with populations over 500,000, the share of regular users reaches 25%, while in smaller towns, it is only 13%.
Ukrainians’ Attitudes Towards Artificial Intelligence
Among respondents familiar with the technology, 45% consider it potentially dangerous due to the risks associated with its use. At the same time, 39% see artificial intelligence as an opportunity for change and progress. The most optimists are among the youth: 63% of them view AI as a chance for a better future.
It is worth noting that OpenAI previously developed a global support program for countries to establish their own AI centers.
