The French company Arquus, which recently became part of the Belgian John Cockerill Defense, has signed a contract with Ukraine for the supply of 61 Bastion armored personnel carriers. Powerful Reinforcement for the Armed Forces
It was first announced in April 2023 that there was an intention to transfer Bastion armored vehicles to Ukraine; however, the implementation of this agreement was later suspended. Now, the contract has been reinstated, and according to the manufacturer, Ukraine can order up to 100 additional armored personnel carriers of this type if needed. Bastion is a modern wheeled armored vehicle designed to protect military personnel during the transportation of troops and cargo on the front lines.
Netherlands to Protect NATO Logistics Center in Poland
At the same time, the Netherlands announced the deployment of an integrated air defense battery to Poland to safeguard the strategic NATO logistics center. This group includes two Patriot systems, one NASAMS, and specialized means to combat drones. The center is a key hub for receiving and distributing Western military aid to Ukraine.
“About 300 Dutch soldiers will protect the logistics center in Poland from December 1, 2025, to June 1, 2026.”
Thus, Western partners continue to strengthen support for Ukraine not only by supplying modern armored vehicles but also by ensuring the security of important logistics hubs that facilitate the supply of weapons and equipment for the Ukrainian army.
