“Russia will definitely not give the US anything that would significantly increase America’s influence in relevant sectors. This concerns aerospace, telecommunications, and so on. Russia wants to have significant influence on global markets through these tools,”
– Podolyak explained.
He emphasized that for Russia, the main concern is not personal financial gain, but the preservation and strengthening of geopolitical influence. This is precisely why Russia unleashed a war against Ukraine.
According to Podolyak, unlike Russia, Ukraine seeks a strategic partnership with the US. Discussions are currently ongoing at various levels regarding the achievement of an agreement. He noted that such an agreement would be beneficial for both sides, as Kyiv needs technology and investment, while Washington could increase its share in relevant global markets.
