DroneUA Plans to Capture Up to 5% of the Agricultural Drone Market in the USA

DroneUA, a company specializing in the production of unmanned systems, has set an ambitious goal to capture up to 5% of the American agricultural drone market. Co-founder Valeriy Yakovenko reported that the first year of its operations in the USA generated a turnover of $15 million. After launching production in Newtown, Pennsylvania, DroneUA registered its own trademark and obtained federal contractor status.

The company began assembling its first drones directly in the USA, using Ukrainian components.

Today, the company is focused on the agricultural sector in the USA, where the area of agricultural land is approximately 150 million hectares. Estimates suggest that the agricultural drone market in the USA may require up to 150,000 units per year, and the company plans to capture 4-5% of this market. Drones for the American market will be manufactured locally.

DroneUA is one of the leaders in agricultural robotics in Ukraine. Last year, the company achieved a total turnover of $135 million, including $15 million in revenue from its American division. Before the war in Ukraine, DroneUA controlled 52% of the agricultural drone market. The company has also expressed its readiness to support other Ukrainian technology companies in entering the American market.
