As of July 25, Ukrainian farmers have harvested 10.347 million tons of early grains and legumes. This is over 3 million tons more than the previous week, when 7.226 million tons were collected. The largest amount of grain was traditionally harvested in the Odesa region, which has already produced 2.5 million tons, maintaining its leadership among the regions.

Details on the harvest of major crops
Among the main crops, 7.088 million tons of wheat, 2.792 million tons of barley, and 412.4 thousand tons of peas have been harvested this year. In total, by July 26, 2025, Ukraine has already harvested 22.324 million tons of the new crop, of which over 19 million tons are grains, and more than 3 million tons are oilseeds. For comparison, 14.7 million tons of wheat have already been harvested this year.
Weather conditions affect sunflower yields
Analysts predict that sunflower production in 2025 will not exceed 13.6–13.7 million tons, which is only 7% higher than last year’s result. These figures are explained by unfavorable weather conditions that have impacted yields in the southern and eastern regions, where up to 50% of sunflower planting areas are concentrated.
Experts noted that weather conditions continue to reduce the potential yield of sunflowers in Ukraine, particularly in the south and east of the country, where up to 50% of the total area for this oilseed crop is concentrated. Cool weather in the spring, critically low soil moisture reserves in these regions, and insufficient rainfall have created unfavorable conditions for crop development.
At the same time, the situation may improve with better sunflower yields in the west, north, and center of the country, which will partially compensate for the losses in the southern and eastern regions.
