Dynamics of Used Car Imports

In the first month of summer, Ukraine registered 20,500 imported used passenger cars. This figure is 8.8% lower than in May, but at the same time, it exceeds the data for June 2024 by 9.6%. While at the beginning of 2025, imports gradually increased—from 14,500 units in January to a record 22,500 in May—the trend changed in June, and the market for imported used cars showed a decline.

Increase in Sales of New Passenger Cars

At the same time, the market for new passenger cars in Ukraine showed positive dynamics in June 2025. In the month, 6,217 new cars were sold, which is 23% more than in the same period last year. This result allowed the market to nearly catch up with the results of the first half of 2024, reducing the gap to a minimal 0.95%. As a result, it was possible to compensate for the decline recorded at the beginning of the year and in the spring, and the car market entered a positive trend.

“The car market has finally entered a positive track. However, compared to May of this year, sales in June fell by 9.3%. In total, 33,773 new passenger cars were sold in Ukraine from January to June.”

Despite the year-on-year growth, when compared to May 2025, sales of new passenger cars in June still decreased by 9.3%. A total of 33,773 new cars were sold in Ukraine in the first half of the year.
