Grok by xAI Introduces Image Analysis and Voice Search Features

Grok від xAI отримав режим «зору» і здатний описати світ навколо

The company xAI has integrated a new feature called Grok Vision into its chatbot Grok, which allows users to analyze images captured by their smartphone cameras and answer questions about products, documents, and signs. This feature is already available to iOS users through the mobile app, while it is not yet activated for Android.

Expanding Grok’s Capabilities

In addition to image analysis, the developers have added voice search and multilingual audio to the service. According to company representatives, these features are available in the Android version of the app via the SuperGrok subscription, which costs $30 per month. This allows for differentiated access to advanced features based on platform and subscription tier, maintaining the service’s flexibility.

Development History and New Technologies

Previously, xAI introduced a memory feature for its AI model, enabling it to retain the context of previous conversations. A visual editor, similar to a canvas for creating documents and applications, has also been introduced as part of Grok’s phased development, focused on system flexibility.

In February 2025, Elon Musk unveiled Grok 3 — a family of models, including Grok 3 Reasoning and Mini Reasoning. These models are capable of refuting facts during response generation and concealing logical chains to avoid being copied by competitors. The models were trained on the Colossus platform, which has 200,000 GPUs — ten times more powerful than the previous version.

Musk stated that the project’s goal is to create an AI capable of addressing global issues and solving complex tasks in programming and mathematics.

It was previously reported that the billionaire transferred the rights to the social network X (formerly Twitter) to the AI startup xAI. This is expected to ensure the integration of technologies, data, and computational resources, with the company’s valuation at $80 billion, while X is valued at $33 billion, considering a debt of $12 billion.

It is worth noting that OpenAI is also working on creating a social network similar to X.
