Game Features and Technology

According to Immutable co-founder Robi Ferguson, the companies have been working on this project for at least two years. The game will implement Immutable’s infrastructure to support blockchain functionality, including the ability to build decks, trade cards, and engage in commerce.

Immutable’s CEO Justin Hulog noted that the game will be free-to-play with a low entry barrier, making it accessible to a wide range of users.

“Players progress by collecting cards and in-game currency during gameplay. Those who wish to accelerate their progress or acquire specific cards can do so through trading platforms.”

Planned Timeline and Partnership History

The project’s release is scheduled for 2025, with a focus on mobile platforms. Ferguson stated that work on the game is already underway, and it will be available to a broad audience.

It is worth noting that in November 2023, the companies announced their partnership. This is not Ubisoft’s first experience in the Web3 space: in 2021, the company faced a massive boycott due to the implementation of NFTs in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, after which support for non-fungible tokens was discontinued.
