Specifically, he noted that the company has two factories in Ukraine, one of which specializes in the production of wet food with a capacity of 27,000 tons per year, while the other focuses on dry food production, with a capacity of 55,000 tons per year. In 2023, Kormotech completed the modernization and expansion of its wet food factory. Currently, the company is working on a project to expand dry food production, evaluating two options: to remain in Ukraine or to relocate part of its capacity to Romania.
Strategic Development Directions for Kormotech
Igor Paranyak also emphasized that Poland, Romania, and other neighboring countries are important strategic markets for product sales. Thus, Romania is considered a potential location for new production facilities outside of Ukraine.
Capacity Development in Lithuania
Additionally, Kormotech has begun construction of a new factory in Lithuania with a capacity of 40,000 tons, which will complement the existing factory with a production capacity of 20,000 tons. The company is particularly focused on implementing environmental initiatives, planning to utilize “green” energy. A solar power plant (SPP) with a capacity of 630 kW has already been installed at the first factory in Lithuania. It is expected that by 2027, the company will achieve 15% of its own electricity generation.
