Over 2100 Ukrainian Officials Declared Cryptocurrencies in 2024

Понад 2100 українських чиновників задекларували криптовалюти у 2024 році

In 2024, Ukrainian officials submitted 2113 declarations mentioning cryptocurrencies. This number is 2.2 times higher than before the full-scale invasion of Russia, according to data from Opendatabot.

Among the most popular assets declared were Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT. Bitcoin was declared by 731 officials, while USDT appeared in 802 declarations, and Ethereum in 713.

Popularity of Cryptocurrencies Among Public Officials

In addition to the mentioned assets, XRP, BNB, Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA), and Litecoin (LTC) were also in demand among officials.

The highest activity in declaring digital assets was demonstrated by representatives of the National Police of Ukraine, who submitted 322 crypto declarations. Prosecutor’s office employees declared crypto assets in 240 cases, and judges in 227. As for city council representatives, 119 officials also indicated the presence of cryptocurrencies in their reports.

Geographical Distribution of Declarants

Among the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, only 77 individuals declared digital assets, while 38 documents were submitted by representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

Regarding regional distribution, the highest number of officials with cryptocurrencies was recorded in Kyiv and the region — 582 and 185 individuals respectively (a total of 767). Kharkiv region ranks third with 172 declarants, Dnipropetrovsk region fourth with 167. Lviv region completes the top five with 133 individuals who declared cryptocurrencies.
