New Retail Format for Ukraine’s Regions

The shopping center “Zhito” was built by BGV Development, which is owned by co-owner of the ATB network, Hennadiy Butkevych. According to company representatives, there are plans to scale up the network of such shopping centers in various regions of Ukraine in the future, focusing on attracting well-known brands and companies to small towns and district centers.

Strategy for Developing Small Shopping Centers in the Regions

Analysts from UTG, who are involved in developing the concept of this project, emphasize that the opening of “Zhito” is part of a strategy to develop small retail facilities in Ukraine’s regions. They note that there is significant demand for retail space offering essential goods in towns with populations of 10,000 residents in the center and west of the country.

The new shopping center has a total area of 4,144 square meters and consists of a basement and a first floor. For the convenience of visitors, there is parking for over 150 cars. Major tenants, including Sinsay, Andi, “Avrora Maxi,” and ATB, have already opened their stores. Currently, the shopping center is 96% occupied.
