According to last year’s results, 1,253 Ukrainian companies with an annual turnover exceeding ₴1 billion generated a total revenue of ₴7.92 trillion. The share of the top 100 companies in this figure accounts for nearly 35% of the total volume, indicating a significant concentration of capital among the leading market players.

The Most Powerful Companies and Leaders in the Private Sector

Among the top ten leaders, state-owned enterprises dominate. The top 10 includes companies such as “Energoatom,” “Naftogaz of Ukraine,” “Naftogaz Trading,” “Ukrnafta,” “Ukrzaliznytsia,” and “Ukrgasvydobuvannya.” At the same time, the most significant positions among private businesses are held by the energy trader D.Trading, the retail chain “ATB-Market,” and the supermarket chain “Silpo-Food.”

“Almost 35% of this amount is accounted for by the top 100 companies in the ranking. Among the 10 largest companies in the country, there are seven state giants: ‘Energoatom,’ ‘Naftogaz of Ukraine,’ ‘Naftogaz Trading,’ ‘Ukrnafta,’ ‘Ukrzaliznytsia,’ ‘Ukrgasvydobuvannya.’ The top three largest private companies are represented by: energy trader D.Trading, retailer ‘ATB-Market,’ and supermarket chain ‘Silpo-Food.'”

The Most Profitable Sectors of the Economy by Revenue Volume

Analysis of the profit structure indicates that the highest gross revenue was recorded in the wholesale trade sector (281 companies) — ₴1.48 trillion. This is followed by retail trade (126 companies) with a revenue of ₴987.7 billion and electricity trading (48 companies) — ₴704.3 billion.
