BitMine has made a significant investment in the cryptocurrency Ethereum, acquiring 46,255 ETH for $201 million. According to on-chain analysts, this transaction has positioned BitMine as a leader among corporate holders of Ethereum, with its total asset value exceeding $9.2 billion.

BitMine Strengthens Its Position in the Ethereum Market
According to Onchain Lens, BitMine currently controls 2,126,018 ETH, valued at $9.24 billion. Although the company has not officially confirmed the latest purchase, it recently reported an increase in its assets, including Bitcoin and cash reserves, to $9.21 billion. In a previous press release, BitMine stated that it owns 2.06 million ETH with an average purchase price of $4,312.
During the last transaction, the price of Ethereum was around $4,345, and it is currently trading at $4,441 per unit. This indicates that BitMine is in an unrealized profit zone—approximately $265.7 million overall and $4.4 million from the latest purchase.

Company Strategy and Future Plans
BitMine is currently the largest corporate investor in Ethereum globally. In terms of cryptocurrency reserves, it is second only to Strategy. The company has an ambitious goal of achieving control over 5% of Ethereum’s circulating supply. To this end, BitMine has adopted a strategy of accumulating and monetizing its ETH reserve fund, completely abandoning Bitcoin mining in July 2025.
