Stephen McClurg, CEO of investment firm Canary Capital, has made a forecast regarding significant growth in the price of Bitcoin. Demand for Bitcoin ETFs and Market Prospects

McClurg emphasized that a key factor for Bitcoin’s further growth is the active interest from large institutional investors in exchange-traded funds (ETFs) based on this asset. He noted that after reaching historical highs, the Bitcoin market could enter a corrective phase as early as 2026.

Ethereum Valuation and New Plans from Canary Capital

Regarding the cryptocurrency Ethereum, McClurg expressed skepticism about its prospects. Canary Capital has not applied to launch an Ethereum ETF, as the company does not see sufficient demand for this network, according to the CEO. McClurg pointed out that Ethereum is an outdated technology, and modern solutions like Solana and Sui have already surpassed it.

“I am not a big supporter of Ethereum, simply because it is an old technology. Solana, Sui, and other solutions have already outpaced it.”

The expert also added that he does not expect new price highs for Ethereum.

At the same time, Canary Capital has applied to launch an ETF for Litecoin. McClurg compared this coin to “silver” in the cryptocurrency market, pointing out its similarities to Bitcoin, which he refers to as the “gold” of the industry.

The company leader emphasized that August is traditionally a weak month for the cryptocurrency market. However, in September and October, according to his forecasts, a new impulse for price growth is to be expected.

It is worth noting that analysts at Fundstrat previously predicted Ethereum would rise to $12,000–$15,000 by the end of 2025.
